Angela Cara, MA, RCC is a sex therapist and the Clinical Director of Wise Body Counselling. A graduate of Adler University (2009), she specializes in embodiment, somatic dreamwork and psilocybin-assisted therapy.
Angela’s approach integrates Jungian-oriented therapy and dreamwork with body-based methods like mindfulness and Focusing-oriented therapy. She trusts that the body carries the story of the whole self, and that healing unfolds when we meet what’s within with presence and tenderness.
Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to women’s sexuality, depth psychotherapy, and embodied spirituality—reflected in the circles she facilitates, her ongoing training, and the psilocybin supervision groups she leads.
Angela’s personal connection to psychedelics spans over 25 years and includes ceremonial work in Peru with traditional curanderos. Her clinical participation in psychedelic work began with some of Canada's earliest Section 56 journeys, and she has enjoyed teaching the last 3 cohorts of TheraPsil's Fundamentals of Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy training at UVIc alongside Dr. Bruce Tobin.
