Anne-Marie is a registered social worker and trauma-informed therapist originally from Nova Scotia. She has been working in the field of mental health for the past 13 years and currently runs a private practice offering therapy and consulting services based in Victoria, BC.

Anne-Marie holds degrees in Psychology (BA, 2012) and Social Work (BSW, 2015 & Clinical MSW, 2021). She completed TheraPsil’s ‘Fundamentals of Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy’ training with Dr. Bruce Tobin in 2021 and became a certified Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) practitioner in 2023. Anne-Marie is excited to be participating in TheraPsil's ‘Fundamentals of MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy’ training with Dr. Ingrid Pacey in February, 2024.

Anne-Marie has been involved in psychedelic research and advocacy since 2017. She is former Executive Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) Canada where she led a team of volunteers to fundraise and educate the public about clinical trials investigating MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Anne-Marie is also former Registered Social Worker with TheraPsil, where she screened, assessed, and helped patients experiencing end-of-life distress apply for legal access to Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy through Health Canada's section 56 exemption process.

Anne-Marie also has 7 years of front line harm reduction experience in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside (DTES). She has a deep respect for the DTES community and has a passion for supporting individuals who use substances. Having worked throughout the entire spectrum of substance use treatment services from safe injection sites to abstinence based-treatment centres, nothing has compared to the profound healing Anne-Marie has witnessed in individuals treated with psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy.

Anne-Marie believes that we each have an innate capacity to heal and that the answers we seek are already within us, though not always accessible in our current states of consciousness and nervous system. She is a passionate advocate for increasing access to psychedelic-assisted therapies and reforming drug policy to include the voices and perspectives of people with lived and living experience.
