Maïa Mercure is a Death Doula based in Nanaimo, BC. Through her practice, Between Realms, she offers compassionate guidance across the full spectrum of end-of-life care—from practical planning and navigating MAiD to being present at the time of death, guiding rituals and ceremonies, facilitating home funerals, and supporting families through grief.

Between Realms is shaped by a willingness to engage with the mystical dimensions of dying while remaining grounded in ethics and professional practice. Maïa has completed TheraPsil training and supports individuals participating in Health Canada's Special Access Program for end-of-life distress. She is a Willow End-of-Life Educator® and facilitates Soul Talks: Living Well, Dying Well, a conversation experience that fosters meaningful dialogue around mortality and builds death literacy within the community.

Maïa is also a Shamanic Reiki Master that supports individuals experiencing grief, caregivers, and palliative clients through her private practice and local hospice organization.
