María Trinidad Vergara Azócar offers Psilocybin -Assisted Psychotherapy

Hello!

My name is Trini, and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC in Vancouver, BC. I am originally from Chile, South America, and have been living in Vancouver for the past six years. I speak English and Spanish. I identify as a heterosexual, cisgender, Latinx/BIPOC woman.

My mission is to support people in creating lives aligned with their intentions by connecting more deeply with themselves and others through love and presence. I strive to create a safe space to explore how to live a life that is more aligned with your intentions and to foster a more loving connection with yourself and others. Here, you will be able to tap into your own inner healer, allowing love and presence to guide you toward personal and relational growth.

I have primarily specialized in trauma therapy, sex therapy, couples therapy (Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy), and psychedelic therapy. I think of myself as a relational therapist—I enjoy reflecting on how we relate to ourselves, to others, and to our environment. I also consider myself an integrative therapist, as I tailor different modalities to each session depending on the individual’s needs, which is why I am always studying and learning. I incorporate elements such as mindfulness, self-compassion, dream analysis, EMDR, among others. I work mostly with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, grief, life transitions, and a lack of meaning.

In terms of psychedelic work, I have worked as a clinical counsellor at the UBC Brain Lab on a research study using psilocybin and motivational enhancement therapy to treat Alcohol Use Disorder, as well as at Qi Integrated Health facilitating group ketamine sessions. I have worked in several group practices in Vancouver and am now working independently at Intention Lab Counselling.

In my free time, I enjoy attending cultural and artistic events, dancing, spending time in nature, pulling tarot cards, thrifting, meditating, journaling, and taking various classes and workshops. The activity that makes me feel most alive and happy is traveling.
