Hello! My name is Mathieu Leblanc (he/him)

Mathieu Leblanc offers Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy

Dr. Mathieu Leblanc is a psychiatrist based in Sherbrooke, Quebec. From 2020 to 2023, he served as a clinical lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Université de Sherbrooke. During that same period, he worked primarily within the psychotic disorders program at the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS), with a particular focus on early psychosis intervention.

In 2023, a turning point in his career led him to restructure his practice in order to dedicate more time and energy to exploring the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. This professional shift was driven by a strong interest in innovative approaches to healing and culminated in 2025 with the development of a clinic in Sherbrooke focused on psychedelic-assisted therapy and integrative mental health care.
Since 2023, Dr. Leblanc has also worked as an associate and locum psychiatrist in the Côte-Nord region of Quebec.

Dr. Leblanc earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2015 and completed his specialty training in psychiatry there in 2020. He is a board-certified psychiatrist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC).
Throughout his training and clinical career, Dr. Leblanc has maintained a deep interest in multiple disciplines related to the understanding of human suffering — including psychology, psychoanalysis, philosophy, theology, and sociology — and continues to integrate these perspectives into his work. His practice is grounded in a holistic, creative approach to mental health.

For Dr. Leblanc, psychedelic-assisted therapy represents a powerful and promising tool which, when used appropriately and safely, enables individuals to reconnect with their inner resources, explore new dimensions of their suffering, and discover pathways to transformation and healing.
